The FRIENDS OF BRICS+ SOCIETY (FOBS) is a collective of high performance practitioners in business, academia, media, positive social change, activism, heritage & culture, development, analytics, policy and governance.
Members share nuanced political views that at times differ with care, yet we remain united towards the work and goals of:
• improving socio-economic conditions,
• increasing productivity,
• deepening insights,
• building multi-lateral relations,
ultimately for the collaborative excellence of all within BRICS+ nations & communities, and direct and mutual benefit from wherever we are in the world, via results based approaches, praxis and utility.

1. We hold monthly engagements at dinners or online sessions with thought leaders, keynote speakers and society members (presentation, discussion, strategy, planning and review)
2. Meetings and events may or may not have a formal agenda and generally take place at the Cape Town Club, but we do like to host other forms of events at interesting and wonderful locations.
3. All meetings are strictly invite only.
4. We make recommendations to key stakeholders within BRICS+ communities.
5. We align ourselves broadly with: the BRICS+ objectives of a just and peaceful multi-polar world, sustainable human development, fair trade, Global South solidarity and cooperation, environmental protection, strengthening economic, political, and social cooperation among BRICS+ members, increasing the influence of Global South countries in international governance, and in addition, improving the legitimacy, equity in participation, and efficiency of global institutions such as the UN, IMF, World Bank, and WTO. Moreover, aiming to bolster sustainable social and economic development and promote social inclusion.
